Michelle Mahlen joined the law firm of Pearson Christensen, PLLP, in July 2016. She earned a B.A. in English Secondary Education with a minor in History from the University of Wisconsin at Superior in 2006 and obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2013. Before enrolling in law school, Michelle taught English/language arts for three years, two years in North Dakota and one year in Wisconsin.
While completing her law degree, Michelle participated in the Central Legal Research program at UND, completed a summer internship at Montana Legal Services in Billings, Montana, and completed a summer internship with the Montana Department of Commerce in Helena, Montana. After law school Michelle completed three consecutive state trial court judicial clerkships, one in North Dakota, one in Montana, and one in Minnesota.
Michelle was admitted to the bar in 2013 in North Dakota. She was admitted to the bar in 2015 in Minnesota. She was admitted in 2016 to practice before the U.S. District Court, District of North Dakota.
