Marianne O. Knudson grew up in Bodo in the north of Norway. She received the six year law degree, Candidata Juris, from the University of Oslo, Norway in 2004. While attending the University of Oslo, she wrote her master thesis comparing the doctrine of “Piercing the Corporative Veil” as applied in Norwegian and American law. Marianne spent one semester as an exchange student at the University of North Dakota Law School as part of the Norwegian Law Degree. While in North Dakota, Marianne met her husband and decided to return to North Dakota.
In addition to her Norwegian Legal Degree, Marianne obtained her second legal degree, Juris Doctor with distinction, from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2007. While attending the University of North Dakota School of Law she participated in Moot Court and received an award for Best Appellee Brief. Marianne also gained significant practical legal experience and skills while serving as a law clerk for Pearson Christensen during her final year of Law School. Marianne joined the firm as an associate attorney after graduation.
